The day was young as the old she-wolf took the pups and yearlings out for their first lesson of the day, the yearlings of course gave her the most trouble. They seemed to always think that they knew all that there was to know, but the fact was they did not. They could not hold themselves up in battle like they say they could, no small pup could. Actually quite the contrary, they where the ones who where eaten. She could remember back in the 'old days' when there was no respect given a smack across the head from an elder would set things straight.

Only here she was not so sure that it would be tolorated, so she refused to harm a pup. A keen eye was always on the smaller pups as they 'faught' around the older ones. Kama, the eldest sister always got the upper hand in things. She was the Beta's daughter, Canna the daughter of the Alpha was right there next to the beta's daughter. However they where still very young and needed more guidance and training, soon Marocoa had them being respectful and curtious to all. They would lower their heads when a higher ranking wolf walked by them, and if not she would repremand them in private.

It was important to her that these pups would learn the old ways of growing up like she did, there where certain ways for a wolf to act when another was around. And she would correct others if they did not do them the way she was teaching, some of the students called her an old goat. Because she was so set in her ways that she was stubborn about it, yet it made them wonder how one so stubborn could be so sly. Almost like a fox with wisdom none could compare with, she was the oldest wolf in the pack that was for sure. But she was so set in her ways that some even wondered why she became the teacher.

Soon the sun started setting and the lessons where ending, heading back to the pack she made sure she had everyone . Finding that one was missing she went and searched for the pup, finding her playing in the mud she picked up the small pup and silently fell back into ranks none of the others knew she had left. Some say that if the Alphas would ask it of her she would be a good spy, and she would laugh and tell them only if they became warriors strong enough to defeat the alpha. Once the pups where back at their dens she went to her own and pretended to sleep, in reality she was sorta watching for the pups whom thought they could sneak away.
